Sometimes I'm just a kid

I think that all of us at any age sometimes just need to be held by our Mothers. Husbands and kids are great but your Mom just knows how to take care of you. I'm grateful for my Mom and all the scrapes she kissed and all the times she watched over me, now I'm just trying to pass it on and hope I do just as good of a job.

Romance never dies

Today was our 8 year anniversary and I worked this morning so I could have the night off. As i was leaving I was surprised to see this on the back of the door greeting me! Needless to say it gave me a good laugh! Enjoy

I'm wondering

I'm wondering at what point is someone too nice that they begin to get walked all over. It is very confusing to me because I really try to treat everyone as best as I can but sometimes it seems to hinder me. Does anyone else feel this way? Where is the line drawn? I'm so confused.

Some day

Somedays are just a internal struggle, it's just good to know your not alone sometimes....so there you are universe I had a bad morning. Things are much now anyway. And thanks to Amber for posting the inspiring video on her blog(8 feet of fun) and now I'm going to enjoy the day.

Poppies

Arguably one of my favorite flowers for various reasons. The color is the biggest reason because it's a beautiful red orange that looks amazing. I also like how large they grow, they stand out! I took this pictures because I'm thinking of enlarging them and putting them in our room. What do you think?

Izzy's 3rd Bday

The pictures are a little late but we did Isaiah's birthday last Saturday at the dinosaur museum with some friends and family. It was a pretty cool joint, lots of stuff for the kids to do which I was grateful for because I was cooking pulled pork at home and I started cooking it too late. Everything worked out and Isaiah got quite the haul this year. Thanks to Nana and Papa for the tricycle, he's still trying to figure out how to pedal but he'll get the hang of it. Thanks to everyone else that came and for the great presents!

Faze

I'm thinking of going through a selfish faze, just to see how it feels. Something tells me I actually won't go through with it but it would be nice to put myself first sometimes. And I'm not just talking about being a Mom, I'm talking about with people in general.

Darrin was playing some b-ball today with Isaiah and jumped up to grab the rim. Well it just so happens that the basketball poll has been eroding for years now and finally decided to snap. Down came the baskball hoop onto Darrin who fell down on the cement. It was quite a loud crash. Luckily Isaiah wasn't anywhere near the crash so he's fine but as you can tell from the pic Darrin has been better lol

Bride Wars

It was the ultimate face off between the 70's wedding dress and the 2002 wedding dress. Normally the younger dress would win but the victor was the old school dress....PS Darrin wanted to mention he looks really chubby in the 3rd picture

Surprise

On May 6th Darrin, Isaiah and my self drove up to the blustery north to surprise my Mom for her birthday/Mother's day. Since she and Isaiah share the same birthday I thought it would be nice if they were together to celebrate their birthdays. Everyone knew we were coming except Mom so it was really exciting. When we drove up Dad took Isaiah and put a bow on his head..
he walked him through the garage...

and downstairs to the very surprised Mom....as you can see by the face lol

dear me

okay I really want mexican food....but I didn't succomb to the taco bell cravings so I ate cereal. But don't worry I'll eat plenty of Cafe Rio later. What? I'm not perfect
