I just finished my 5th class of Bikram Yoga tonight after a 6 month hiatus...this shiz is rough!! Rough is good though, if I'm close to passing out I know something is happening! HA

Regardless it is finally helping me lose this stingy baby weight....man you hit 30 and your body says, "uh yeah right you think eating a couple more vegetables a day is going to do anything?"

Anyone want to come with me and possibly pass out but feel fabulous after?

I would like to make some homemade gifts this Christmas so I am trying to think of some easy(possibly no sewing involved) gifts.

Does anyone have gifts that they have loved receiving or gave that are homemade?

I love getting homemade treats/goodies. Granted it doesn't help the weight loss issue but it is still much appreciated and I will eat it all!!!!

I remember as a kid we didn't have much money but we would help my Mom make Rice Kripsie wreaths and homemade chocolates and we would drop them off to friends and neighbours, you always seem to have fonder memories of giving then receiving at Christmas...

I had a wonderful day Saturday one of my best friends Amber threw me a beautiful baby shower. It was a bird theme with blue and green as the colors and she did an AMAZING job. Here are a few pictures of the shower...

There was candy everywhere that we put into thank you bags as everyone left.

Amber and my Aunt Laura put together this beautiful cake unfortunately no one got a slice but afterwards Amber and I tried it and it was really good.

I have been made aware that my Dad is going to make me a baby crib bench like he did for my sister's wedding. It's lovely and I can't wait. You take a side piece from a baby's crib then build the rest of the bench off of that. The picture below is somewhat similar I asked him to paint it gray. I can't wait to see it at Easter I have started buying pillows specifically for the bench. I'm a bit excited.

On Tuesday Isaiah and I went with my parents to the Tracy Aviary. My dad brought his HUMUNGO lens and took tons of pictures. Isaiah followed him around showing him which pictures to take. So in case you didn't see on Facebook, the braces are off and now I can enjoy the good life again. I am looking forward to my first caramel apple, I haven't had one yet because my teeth are still sensitive from the grinding they received yesterday while they were removing the glue. Ugh the glue and teeth dust was going up my nose (it was lovely) and it was hard to breathe. I got fitted for my retainer today, I have a permanet one on the bottom. Thanks for all your love and support the last 15 months while I went through this lol. Now who wants to go out for some wings???

Well it's offical I miss Darrin a lot now that he is gone. Trust me I am not complaining it's just that we have been together a lot the last year and half and you get used to doing things together. I guess that's a good sign that our marriage is working :) Darrin once said when we were dating that he liked that we liked being together a lot and things haven't changed I'm happy to report. i am very much looking forward to going to Canada with him and Iz for awhile.

I think that all of us at any age sometimes just need to be held by our Mothers. Husbands and kids are great but your Mom just knows how to take care of you. I'm grateful for my Mom and all the scrapes she kissed and all the times she watched over me, now I'm just trying to pass it on and hope I do just as good of a job.

Izzy's 3rd Bday

The pictures are a little late but we did Isaiah's birthday last Saturday at the dinosaur museum with some friends and family. It was a pretty cool joint, lots of stuff for the kids to do which I was grateful for because I was cooking pulled pork at home and I started cooking it too late. Everything worked out and Isaiah got quite the haul this year. Thanks to Nana and Papa for the tricycle, he's still trying to figure out how to pedal but he'll get the hang of it. Thanks to everyone else that came and for the great presents!

Darrin was playing some b-ball today with Isaiah and jumped up to grab the rim. Well it just so happens that the basketball poll has been eroding for years now and finally decided to snap. Down came the baskball hoop onto Darrin who fell down on the cement. It was quite a loud crash. Luckily Isaiah wasn't anywhere near the crash so he's fine but as you can tell from the pic Darrin has been better lol

On May 6th Darrin, Isaiah and my self drove up to the blustery north to surprise my Mom for her birthday/Mother's day. Since she and Isaiah share the same birthday I thought it would be nice if they were together to celebrate their birthdays. Everyone knew we were coming except Mom so it was really exciting. When we drove up Dad took Isaiah and put a bow on his head..
